Brilliant. I am a keen user of eBird! I use it for daily lists at home, lists for particular outings, incidental sightings of vulnerable species. Last spring, over a 70 day period I averaged 35 species a day in my yard survey area (about two hectares). I could often get 25-27 species in just 20 minutes. If you’ve not seen any Australian birds, google Eastern Rosella, rainbow lorikeet, Satin Bowerbird, eastern spinebill, superb parrot, superb fairy-wren for a few starters. And of course I see these little guys every day:

Randy, the Australian checklist is 915.
