No ‘Mystery Train’ or ‘Train In Vain’?
My favourite train record is a stereo LP recording of a steam train; sitting in the perfect sound stage between the speakers, you can hear the train approach from miles away on the left side, it gets closer and louder, runs over you, then fades away to the right. It’s like you’re sitting beside the tracks. Absolutely brilliant.
