Great story!
She demonstrated the power of the mind and the survival imperative. Incredible strength.
From a very young age my father always said do not swerve to avoid an animal. Yet it’s the instant reaction, to avoid a collision. He said there’s no point in you being in a ditch with the roo still standing on the road wondering what just happened. Just run it down. Insurance fixes cars but can’t bring you back to life.
That’s ok if it’s a roo, but a cow is much bigger, and something like a moose in North America is essentially 400 kg of meat standing 6 feet about the ground! That’s not something you want to run into, so I understand the reaction to swerve.
