I love those covers where you actually have to think about it, you might recognise just a melody, then it falls into place.

My favourites in this category are the songs in the first series of Westworld. The soundtrack was created by Ramin Djawadi, who also did Game of Thrones and a bunch of movies.

For Westworld, he scattered amongst the original pieces a selection of covers that were played in the style of an old western saloon piano. They really are extraordinary. Some I had to really think about, a couple were easy to pick.

The songs:
Black Hole Sun - Soundgarden
Paint It Black - Rolling Stones
No Surprises - Radiohead
A Forest - The Cure
Motion Picture Soundtrack - Radiohead
Fake Plastic Trees - Radiohead
House Of The Rising Sun - The Animals
Something I Can Never Have - Nine Inch Nails
Back To Black - Amy Winehouse
Exit Music (For A Film) - Radiohead
No Surprises [a different version] - Radiohead.

It would be fair to say that the guy is a little bit of a Radiohead fan.
