Jumping in on the action, after reading the amusing responses from Alex Markham. He picked up the trail from Pierce McIntyre, via Linda Ng, running into Paul Combs along the way. All good, quick reads, and a combination of amusing and more serious responses.

1. Favourite drink?
Apart from water, which should be the default favourite for everyone, my favourite drink is my morning cup of tea. Preheated mug, strong English Breakfast tea, a teaspoon of rich honey, and a good splash of milk. The best drink of the day. But it doesn’t last long, as the window between being too hot and too cold to drink is about 30 seconds.
2. Favourite colour?
Purple. My love for purple began when I was about nine years old. My parents bought a nice old home that had been poorly redecorated in the early 1970s. The living room had deep purple carpet, which was to be removed. I said I’d have it in my room! The cupboards were then painted a matching purple. It was ace!
